Not Much To Say

I had a great lunch date with my old and new friends yesterday. Mexican is good!

David should be home in less than 24 hours! I haven't heard from him in 14 hours or so.

I am not sure what to buy for Liam. What do babies need? What did your baby use?

I stubbed my toe while stepping over laundry. Ouch! I have 3 loads of laundry to do.

I need to do the dishes, fold laundry, clean 1 more toliet, make my bed, and take all trash out.

April 24, 2010

Allergies are getting the best of me! My eyes hurt, I keep sneezing, and I feel like I need a plumber for my nose.

I went to a church picnic at my in-laws church. The music was good. The food was decent. The wind was blowing and my SIL, who I was paying to help with Ryan, couldn't seem to be bothered with him. She did have to sing with her Praise Team counterparts and was great.

When did people stop offering their chairs to their elders? I am tired of seeing so much disrespect. I see people wearing hats inside churches and restaurants. I see people using cell phones, game systems, and reading books while at the dinner table.

Ryan went into a bouncy house and loved it. It was the first time he didn't scream his head off while inside it. I was so happy.

Ryan keeps chewing on things. He will chew on string, blankets, cards, clothes, and play food.

Happy Earth Day!

My ultrasound was yesterday and all is well. My OB did the AFP test too early and that caused the bad results. I am having a boy, 100% sure!
Risk for Downs Syndrome and T18 is 1 in 10,000.
Risk for Neural tube defects is 1 in 5,400.
I saw the baby's face, legs, arms, hands, fingers, feet, and toes.
I was told I have a low lying placenta and will be going back on June 2nd for another ultrasound.
The June 2nd ultrasound will show them if the placenta has moved and what the heart looks like.

The name for our new little boy is William David. He will be named after his grandfathers. We will call him Liam.

I bought the bedding for the boys last night. It is pirate themed. David helped pick that out.

David will be home soon.

April 16th

I took a nap today with Ryan and woke up feeling like crap. My head hurt the most. I didn't take any tylenol. I only take meds when I have to. I feel better now four hours later.

My best friend is going through some crap and that bothers me.

I am nervous about my pregnancy and what the ultrasound next week holds in store for me. I am not worried about my heart breaking, I am worried about David's heart breaking. I want to buy baby stuff and enjoy it all. I  feel pregnant and I feel like my stomach has changed shape.

I gave all of Ryan's baby stuff away. All I have in the crib, the crib mattress, and some burp cloths. Everything else was given away. I have a playpen that I bought at BRU during trade in days.

Good News is I can run Netflix through my Wii now. It is cool. Ryan is watching Barney right now while chewing on the wing of his dragon pillow. Ryan loves to chew on things.

David works in Iraq and is supposed to be home on April 28th, but somehow Delta shows no reservation for him. I will be so pissed if he is not in my arms on April 28th.

My Spirituality

In 1973, I was baptized in a Lutheran Church and I haven't attended many Lutheran services since then.

My parents were not big on church, so when I went it was with friends or alone. I went to many Christian churches and attended Bible Camp.

As an adult, I have been to Catholic, UU, Baptist, Penecostal, and Church of Christ services. I have also been to a Shabbat.

I have been through the classes to become a Catholic and even had my marriage blessed in a Catholic Church.

I left the Catholic Church in mid- 2002 when I was told that God had a dress code.

Before I tell you how I label myself, let me tell you my beliefs.

I practice magick. I am a Reiki Master. I am a Priestess of Kitchen Witchery. I am a High Priestess of Celtic Fae. I follow Rhiannon, Brigit, Morgan, and Bast. I use Cernunnos, Loki, or Hotei, if I need a God for something. I get visions and use dream magick.I use divination - runes, tarot, astrology, numerology, and tea readings monthly. I watch the moon phases and pay attention to natal charts. I practice do what you will, but harm none. It is also called the Golden Rule.

I believe there is something to learn from every religion and every religion is valid.

I attend church services and functions regularly. Just 2 weeks ago, I was at the local Church of Christ service. Next week, I will attend a service at my in laws Baptist church. I love learning from different churches, but one service a month usually reminds me why I don't label myself a Christian.

I am all for homosexuality and the freedom to marry anyone. I think people should have the right to choose birth control. I am a big supporter of a Woman's right to choose. I do believe that Jesus Christ existed.

I don't believe Jesus Christ died on the cross for me and that there is no female counterpart to a God. I don't believe Mary was impregnated by God and Joseph just took this responsibility on because he was nice. I don't believe the time period Jesus supposedly was born in was winter. I don't understand why some Christians can't accept other religions.

I will teach my beliefs to my children.

My husband follows Morgan and Ares. He dislikes Christian church.

Ryan has had a paganning on December 31, 2007. He was blessed by Fae, Shaman, Druid, Catholic, and Christian representatives. My new baby will also have a paganning in September 2010.

So how do I label myself? I call myself a Pagan, but many friends label me as an Ecclectic Spiritualist.

My SoulMate

In May 1996 at 2am, I was awaken by my friend and her company. They were laughing and I was sleeping in a bedroom with my current boyfriend.

I walked out there and got sucked into the conversation and the next thing I know I am giving a guy a back massage, so my friend could flirt with his friend. Laugh!! I had only known this guy for 7 hours or so.

Two months later, my boyfriend and I broke up. I needed a date to go out to a country bar with my friend and her boyfriend. I didn't want to be the 3rd wheel. Back rub Man jumped at the chance. This was Tuesday,  July 9, 1996.

My friend's name is Jen and her boyfriend was Henry at the time. Henry and back rub man were roommates at El Toro Marine Base.  Jen had a 2yo daughter, named Jenique, at the time.

The next day, back rub man made us all dinner. I had frito pie for the 1st time that night. Back Rub man served Jenique, Me, and Jen. When Henry asked where his dinner was, back rub man said, "You are not under 18yo and you don't have a vagina, serve yourself!" I was in LOVE!!!!

On July 13th, we all went to the Orange County Fair and had a great time.

In August 1996, back rub man and I went to a jewelry store and bought me an engagement ring. The ring in the case fit me perfectly and I was able to leave the store with it. How often does that happen?  Back Rub man asked my father for my hand in marriage.

On August 17, 1996 - Back Rub Man asked me to marry him on Redondo Beach Pier.  I said yes and he was shaking.

We started planning a November 1997 wedding.  That didn't happen!

November 10, 1996, the Marine Corps Birthday, we headed to Las Vegas to get married. We only told my dad. I had never met my future in-laws either. Within 2 hours of getting to Vegas, we were hitched.

It all started with a back rub to help Jen out. That was the best back rub I have ever given and I am sure glad I did. I LOVE David!!!

In closing, I only knew David 4 months or so before I married him. This November 10th, we will be celebrating our 14th Wedding Anniversary. I am truly blessed!!!!   The deities knew what they were doing that early morning back in May 1996.

Pets

Throughout my life, I have had a dog, birds, cats, and fish.

I remember having a dog when I was real little, but I just remember it was big. His name was Henry and he was brown and short hair.

The 1st pet I really remember was a bird named Bobby. Bobby would would talk and give kisses.

My dad seemed to alway have fish. The tank was pretty, but fish are boring.

I have had a lot of cats in my life. Minnie, Tiger, and Medusa - RIP.

My current fur babies are Keira and Raven.

Keira is almost 10 years old and weighed 10.5 pounds at her last visit. Keira is a long hair and an orange tabby.

Raven is almost 8 years old and weighed the same as Keira. Raven is a short hair torte.

David wants some fish.

My cats used to be inside cats until recently. I have been noticing that Keira wants outside. She goes to the tarp that covers the BBQ grill and just sits underneath it. She feels lighter to me. It might just be she is shedding her winter coat, but I am getting a weird vibe off her.

Fertility RollerCoaster

David and I got married in November 1996.

In January 1997, I found out I was pregnant and we were overjoyed. I told David in a TRU parking lot and he locked the keys in the car. Luckily, my door was still unlocked. Laugh! At 8 weeks pregnant, I had a miscarriage. That was in Feb. 1997.

Through the years we tried clomid, timed sex, different sexual positions, vitamins, special diets, and some medical tests. We didn't have medical insurance all the time.

In Feb. 2005, David got a job that had great insurance and we were able to get serious about fertility. I found out I had PCOS. David got his sperm analyzed and he was perfect. I had a HSG done and was told one of tubes was blocked. I had a surgery to clear out the blocked tube in July 2006. After the surgery, the RE said the tube wasn't truly blocked. I did have polyps and scar tissue though, That was all removed.

I started Weight Watchers in October 2005 at 356 pounds.

In August 2006, we tried injectbles and an IUI. It was a failed attempt.
In January 2007, we tried again. The amount of meds was upped and we scored!!!! I was 203 pounds when I got pregnant.

At 5 weeks along, I started to spot and was terrified. Things settled down a few days later. The RE said the bleeding was the 2 eggs they didn't fertilize during IUI were sloughing off.

In September 2007, Ryan was born vaginally.

David and I didn't plan for anymore kids and didn't use birth control. Why should we? It took 2 IUIs, a RE, and 10 years to get pregnant with Ryan.

Surprise!!!! In January 2010, I found out I was pregnant again. I couldn't believe how that could happen. I was way overweight and there was no medical help. I weighed 298 pounds.

At 12 weeks along, the NT tech said there is an 80% chance that I am having another boy.

I am 17 1/2 weeks along and last week I found out that my baby has a 5% chance of having Trisomy 18. I will be having another ultrasound on April 21st to see if we can find anything out. I am scared and worried.

In wrapping this up, I am on my 3rd pregnancy. I have had one miscarriage at 8 weeks in 1997. I have a handsome son named Ryan and I am expecting a new baby 2 weeks before Ryan's 3rd Birthday.

Introduction

My name is Leslie and I am 37yo. I currently live in SE Texas. I am married to David and we have been married almost 14 years. I have a 2 1/2 year old son named Ryan and he has been called "spirited" and a "heathen" before and that is why my blog is titled so. I am currently 17 weeks pregnant and hopeful to have another spirited heathen in September.

I have 4 brothers and 2 sisters. They are all half. I am the only child between my parents. My parents got married after I was born, but told me my entire life they got married years before.

I like to write, spend time with friends, swim, plan parties, spend money, and be with my family. My favorite vacation spot is Walt Disney World. I like the colors pink, green, red, purple, black, and sometimes brown.

I am not big into cooking, but I can operate a microwave and can cook easy things. I can make french toast and pancakes, but don't ask me to cook a steak. My husband is the chef in the family.
